Im just curious, whats your favorite console, A pc cant really be called a console, But still..
Please say a reason to why you like one console better than the other.
I like the pc the best, Bechus its not just a gaming machine, its so much more! And all games are better on pc, No games are better on consoles than they are on pc, Take Dragon age origins for example, On pc its perfect, On the consoles the controls are ****ed up, Norwegian game rewiev sites have given the pc edition 6 out of 6 and the Ps3 and xbox360 edition 5 out of 6
and for the fact that you can download games much easier for a pc, Its not completely legal,But its free, And what are the odds for getting cought downloading? What they are out after is people Uploading, Is downloading actually illegal btw? Aint it just Uploading thats illegal?, A bit off topic there,

I used to be a huge fan of Sega then Playstation. But I've moved onto PC gaming a while ago. My taste in games also changed. I used to play a lot of action and fighters. X-men, Street fighter, Mortal Kombat. DBZ, etc. But now I'm mostly into FPS.
And unlike consoles, I can upgrade just part of my PC to play a new game, Like I did this past weekend that enables me to play any current game that I want (for the PC Of course). I can also multitask like crazy on the PC. On a console, it's just playing that same game for a while. On PC I can tab out, check emails, go back to playing, listen to music, burn a cd, etc.

It's not about being able to play console games on the PC, all the games that interest me nowadays usually come out for the PC anyway. Even played the Halo series here.

yeh, But theres a coming in march 2010 that wont come on pc, Red dead redemtion, A western Roleplaying game, Cant wait, Have to get my friend to make it work on pc. It only comes for Ps3 and xbox 360, Other than that, Most games are better in pc version anyways.

I'm a fan of pc, basically for all the reasons everyone mentioned before.
It's just..
It's your computer, and your gaming station.
It loves you.
Most of the time.
Consoles are good but I hate when there are games that were obviously made for pc (controls, etc), and they put it on a console and you feel restricted.
The Sims is a perfect example of that.

For me this question really depends on what I am playing. The best party game console is the Wii by far. Then there are certain games that just work better on a console or on the PC. For MMO's or RTS's the PC is king. For action games, FPS's and open world games I like consoles.
When I first got into gaming most games came out on the PC. PC gaming was really good back then. At this point though things have changed and you can't get a lot of the good games on PC anymore. Developers are moving away from making many PC games.
I picked PS3 on the pole since this is the machine I am buying my games on now. There are a couple reasons for this. First I think right now the PS3 is the best built console. Secondly it has everything I need built in: a blueray, wifi, and netflicks. Thirdly since I am not a huge multiplayer gamer they don't charge you to play online with people. I just don't play online enough to want to pony up the Xbox live fee.
I have all the systems listed in the house and they really are all good in their own ways.

Whaaat? You think Fps games are better on Consoles?:SI totally dissagree,Its the oposite, Well, I think all games are better on pc though, Bechus it has better controls,And yeh the multitasking, And if u have a really good pc u can even get better graphics than atleast a Xbox360, Maybe even ps3 But then u gotta spend a bit more money too:mad1:
And yeh the fact that if you have a game on pc and you notice a bug, It is possible to fix the bug,Some bugs are unfixable on Ps3 and xbox360, And yeh,
and btw, Buying a ps3 instead of a pc aint any cheaper actually, Bechus to get the graphics a ps3 can offer, You need to spend 400-500 euro on a tv, Something like that, And the ps3 costs ? in norway it costs 2700 krones, Lets say 270 euro?,Yeh So thats 770 euro if you want a ps3 and a good tv to get the graphics a ps3 can give, If u dont have a good tv to play a ps3 on the graphics look like ****, And thats a fact, It looks horrible, I payed 600 euro or something for my pc, So to get good graphics its actually cheaper to buy a pc than a ps3, And again, In a year or two when the ps3 is old, and the new ps4 or something has come,Then the ps4 is gonna cost like 300 euro And if u wanna keep playing whit a playstation other that the old ps3, You gotta buy it for 300 euro, Instead of us pc gamers wich spends 150 euro on a new graphics card/cpu/ram Thats also why i love the pc

Yeh most of the time ur pc loves u, Not if you have windows vista though, Its programmed to hate the user, And to cause as many errors at it possibly can, Fortunatly i have Windows 7 now wich is great:D atleast compared to Windows vista,Well..They couldnt have made anything worse than vista already was, Guess that was their plan, To make vista so bad that The new Windows 7 would look incredible compared ;)

HAH I have Vista.
I really haven't had much trouble with it BUT it's not what I use to game on because the video card is very lowwww.
So I can't really say anything.
The only game I had trouble getting to play was diablo 2 but that was fixed easily by getting the newest patch.
I wish I could get windows 7 though ) :

I used to think PC was better for FPS but now I really like consoles better. I like the controls on the console better now. The way I look at it if I want to have all the extra strategy elements of a RTS in a shooter I would just play a RTS and those are def better on the PC.
As far as cost I think they had a bundle of a PS3, a game or movie and a 36 inch LCD tv for around a $1,000 US. That is a really good deal if you ask me. I guess a big part of why I like the consoles so much is the fact I have a 56 inch LCD TV that is amazing and when you start playing on that its hard to play on smaller screens. :-P

I used to be a Sony-bby, however with their continual screw ups on times and release dates, to the point where their game creators are leaving their side for other consoles, I've loosened my grip and ties to my love for Sony and now have fallen unto the realization that the PS3 is just a very large paperweight/blu ray player. Lol.
The games for the system aren't enough to make me want to spend $ 300 to pick the system up, while entertaining me.
I boycotted the first XBox with a passion, because I hate it when companies (Microsoft, Nike), use their money or bank on one thing in order to sell a product. Microsoft forced its way into the console world with a machine (mini comp) that melted carpet, burned it's users, and ate discs like it was a frakkin' gremlin.
However, I have seen that they survived and 360 has all of the titles I love and the games I want to play. I'll muse the idea of getting a 360 for God of War III and Dante's Inferno, but I've already played the latter and it's a glorified GoW-Rip Off. I played it back in August.
Aside from these consoles though, my PC trumps all.
Infinitely better graphics, handling, ease of play. The controls make sense, and the mouse is way easier to use than that damn dual-joystick controller crap. I play games like BioShock for my 360, but count me out of anything fast paced that requires me to shoot someone on the run. I'm handicapped with dual joysticks.

Damn i just checked the Valuta and i turns out, a ps3 from norway costs 465 dollar:P,Hmm, Sounds like a pretty good deal, U could get a ps3 and a game cheaper, But that tv,I checked how much they costs in norway and on "elkjøp" I found 1 37"Lcd for 1721 Us dollars :P So after norwegian prices u got a damn good deal there xD

I used to like PC gaming, I used to play FPS and RPG's on my pc non stop since I was around 10, but now that I'm older I have to buy things with my own money. It seemed like every time a game comes out I have to upgrade a part of my computer to be able to play it. The games are normally 60 dollars and the computer varies from 50 - 200$ I find it much simple to buy a console for 300 or 400$ then never have to worry about upgrading it. Plus all my friend have a 360.
So as you might of noticed, the 360 is my favorite system.

I upgraded my GPU for the first time in 2 years. Was able to play any game I want and now I can play any game I want again. I'd be poor if I had to upgrade my pc every time a new game came out that I liked.

aww you dont have the dreamcast on here...... haha.
it was short-lived....
anyway, the ps2 is my favorite, so many games for it, even some that i've never heard of, and uh.... I cant really afford the newer consoles out there, I've tried some games though. I used to be into FPS's, now I'm into fighters like street fighter, tekken, and many others.
at the moment, i'm just playing rpg's and some mmo's on the computer & the ps2... but not so much due to school... man, my break went by too fast.

If you buy a good comp, like mine, I paid 1129 USD for my comp, Its proboablly cheaper now, And i can play any game i want, And i proboably dont have to uppgrade my pc in a year or two, If you buy a crappy comp wich cant handle the new games that are coming out at the time you buy the pc, You ofcorse feel like you have to upgrade it evry time a new game comes out, But if you invest in a good comp, You dont need that
