Fallout 3,Can i still play after i beat the game?

Hi, Im woundering, After im done whit the main quest of findinding my dad, Will i still be able to play? I heard that the game ends when ur done whit the main quest, I also heard it dont end after the main quest if you get the expansion Broken steel, so i was woundering, Whit the expansion broken steel, Can i continue on whit "My life" in Fallout 3 if i get the expansion broken steel?

And 1 more thing, What expansions are good? Should i get them all? Or are some just terrible?

of course all of them. for me, i choose all expansion, it will be better

The only way you can continue playing the game with that character after completing the main quest; is by playing Broken Steel. Unless, you want to load an earlier save up and I guess you could avoid finishing the main quest. That way, you could play through the expansion on that character.

I'd reccomend getting Broken Steel, though. It's worth it, not only because you get to carry on with your character but because you get to continue the main quest.

Broken Steel continues the main story. ( In case you couldn't tell from the other posts) I don't have any expansion packs, but from what I've read, they're all good. So, yes, you can play after the story if you load an earlier save or if you have Broken Steel because you *SPOLIER* die from the radiation in the control room when you activate Project Purity unless you have purchased Broken Steel.

I finished the story, was suprised by the abrupt ending, then didn't play it again until Broken Steel was released. I didn't want to undo all the work I put into my wanderer!

Well to be honest you can play Fallout 3 for several hours without even touching the main quest line so I would say do that for a while. You will find some very interesting things.
