James Cameron is a beast. By the time this ends he'll have directed the 1st and 2nd movie all time

I have read a review for avatar and it only got like 5/10
the review said that the game didn't have much spark and that it was very repetitive

Congrats to the movie, still has a long way to go before it's not shown in theaters anymore. Wonder if it has the potential to hit $2 billion worldwide. That would be crazy.

Doesn't shock me, there isn't many video games based on movies that are any good

1. cameron directed both Aliens, and the first 2 Terminator movies. some of the best movies of all time.
2. avatar's graphics are indeed good, but the switch from pure cgi to live action is extremely jarring.
3. im still gonna try out that game

I didn't notice the switch from CGI to live action, at all really.
I thought the transition was perfect

Not accurate. James Cameron only directed the sequel. Ridley Scott directed the first Aliens movie. David Fincher directed the 3rd and Jeane-Pierre Jeunet directed Alien Resurrection

let me rephrase that.
aliens, and the first 2 terminator movies. cameron directed both.
i'm a huge fan of the alien series, i know who directed them. i also always make sure to watch every ridley scott movie that comes out because i love Alien (yes, alien. not plural) so much.

Will be interesting to see what kind of legs this movie has. 8.09 million monday puts it at 360.2 and 14th all time. The Dark Knight is the only movie that had a better start, it was at 400.03 after 18 days

Same here, I haven't been a big fan of the 3d glass wearing. It also hasn't appealed to me and I know some people that saw it and said the story wasn't that good.
I mean I wanted to see it when it came out, but as days went by, I just lost interest. I'd rather watch Invictus to be honest. That one looks interesting.

I probably won't ever watch that movie either. Rugby.....that's my opinion of Rugby. Just looking through where some movies were at after the same period that Avatar has currently been out and wow ET has some fricking legs. After 19 days on it's first issue it was only at 64 million, it ended up with 353 . It's first run was in the box office from June 11th 1982 till June 9th 1983 @_@

I don't think invictus is solely about Rugby. I'm not a fan of rugby either but I'm open minded about many things.
As for ET...I can say I never watched that movie.

Any reason? Avatar should become #2 all time for world wide figures very soon. Only 21 million away from Return of the King

No big reason. I just never got around to it and ended up never watching the movie, even when it was on TV. Guess it never appealed to me like other movies so I never made it a priority even when I saw it play on tv.

Avatar still killing it, #1 for a 3rd straight weekend. 48 this weekend. #2 Sherlock Holmes did 16. The Book of Eli should end Avatar's reign though. Avatar is up to 429 domestic or 7th all time.
