im pretty shure i have a dead pixel on my Pc-screen, its ****ing annoying, MAybe i have a guarantee for it, But the weird thing is, I only noticed this dead pixel when the pc-screen is cold, Usually in the morning after my window has been open all night, (And its 17- celcius outside at daytime xD) I think i gotta stop having the window open, Is there any chance the Pixel has Frozen from the cold xD?, Bechus im 100% Shure i never saw this dead pixel when the pc-screen is hot and the room is hot:P, But i have seen the dead pixel before but earlier, I only noticed it on games, But now i noticed its on my desktop too:mask:

LOL!!!, I Turned off my computer, Took my sweater around it, And turned it on again, And now its gone!:D It must be something about the cold?.. Anyone know alot about screens, Can pixels freeze ? xD

Hi Bullman!

Try not too double post it is against our rules here. I am sure a mod can merge then together later.

I did some research and it seems that a LCD screen can freeze after -20 C so that could be the problem. I hope this helps

Per Linux's rules -- he is allowed to double post since no one posted to him within two days, so don't try to enforce something when you have no power to do so.

And Bull -- I've had a dead pixel on my monitor for nearly two years now and you'll eventually forget about it. Mine only shows up in certain areas when the background is black. -- Not recommended, but try 'flicking' it. It'll reset that area when the colors all go wild.
That's what I do when mine shows up and I have no idea why it works. Lol.
And my appears as a hot pink little pixel. ;) ;) Lol.

I fixed it now:O, I was downloading a program that said it should fix it, And i remembered reading if you push on the dead pixel whit a pen or something, It might fix it, So i took up the mic from my old headset, And just pushed onto the pixel and it dissapeared:D, A little while afterwards it came back so i pushed it off again, Kinda fun really:D, A Program That Can Fix Dead Pixels On Your LCD Screen.
(http://www.xcess.info/a_program_that_can_fix_dead_pixels_on_your_lcd_scr een_aen.aspx) here you can download the program that should fix it, I dunno if it works bechus i dident try it, Fixed it myself before i got to try the program..

When you press start on the program, 5 squares appare on your screen, That rapidly changes color from Black-white-blue-red and green, And this should "ressurect" your dead pixel, If you drag the flashing squares over the dead pixel, The squares are suppose to force the dead pixel, To rapidly change colors, and this should make it.. Change colors again, Instead of always being red or any other color xD

You solved it too?, If not, Try what i did and push at the dead pixel whit a pen or something, Not hard, just slightly push it, Or please, Download the program and try it out before you try to push, it sais it should fix the dead pixel after 20 min, so please try it, I fixed it whitout the program so i dunno if it works xD

I have actually pushed on one of my desktops before and I forgot to tell you.

For anyone else I suggest putting a piece of paper or a cotton ball on your finger to keep from scratching the screen

No, I didn't have to solve it since I don't live in a country where the temperature goes below 15 C :P
