Assassin's Creed Multiplayer?

Ubisoft has been interested in introducing multiplayer into its hit Assassin’s Creed franchise for a good long while now, and it appears the publisher will finally get around to doing it sometime this year in the form of a new "episode" in the Assassin’s Creed saga.
Ubisoft made the reveal in its third-quarter financial report, saying that the “episode” will in fact include an online multiplayer mode.
When asked for clarification as to whether multiplayer will be included in upcoming downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed II, or whether the "episode" will be something new altogether, a Ubisoft PR representative told G4, "It’s an entirely new product."

Found this on the G4 website. I am not sure how they will do this. AC has always been a really personal single player experience. Makes me wonder if they are just jumping on the multiplayer bandwagon like Bioshock 2 is.

Seems like a bad move to me.

Games that go online usually have to be dumbed-down a certain extent to make them playable by the widest range of people...

If Assassins Creed can really have a multiplayer feature this would be really awesome to play with your friends and use can kill the guard and have fun by collecting things and killing.

Hmm...is it cool to up this on the forums? Even though it's already upped sorta. Pretty cool how you can see what people were saying way before it was released or anything. But, from the looks of things, it looks crappy. I think I'm gonna skip this installment and wait for the sequel, or prequel, to the last prequel...or sequel...I dunno.

I think it deserves a chance. The reason a lot of people are a bit hesitant is because this type of MultiPlayer is completely new; not like that milked-out Call of Duty trash.

I'm definitely going to buy the game, because I like Assassins Creed. I will also play the MultiPlayer for at least 24 hours or so, just to get a taste of a brand new type of MultiPlayer.

The Game is awesome, I've had it for almost week and haven't even touched the multi player yet.

I'm a game renter so I usually get a game per week, beat it, take it back, rinse and repeat.
