Pokemon World

you start off, creating your character like you would in an oblivion game, and then you do a few side quests in town and eventually after a day or 2 it's pokemon day, and you go to get your pokemon, and you can choose from a few.

then after that you walk around exploring, completing quests for people, training your pokemon. each area would have a suggested pokemon level so you know if you're going too far.

pokemon battles would be handled by choosing your pokemon, and then having control switch over to the pokemon you chose. it's attacks would be assigned to the four face buttons, and you walk around controlling it and battling. if you want to catch a pokemon, you weaken it then press a button that switches back to the trainer and you can then throw pokeballs (or use other items)

i used to think pokemon was an n64 game and there were actual pokemon that walked around and you had to catch them...so that's where this idea came from.

Heck, there could be a knock off "capture monsters that you train and do all the fighting" kind of game that used a persistent world environment like that and I would play it.

Anyone ever play that tv station game for PC? You know where you have to set your daily schedule. Well how bout make a game that basis is you control a gaming company? You have to choose from ideas of which to make then you eventually expand to company that is able to handle more than 1 game at once. Then big enough to open other dev houses then perhaps you could make enough money where you made your own console and had to secure exclusives with 3rd party and buy new studios and such. I think if the concept is done right and enough effort is put into the game that it could be a nice little time waster when you don't feel like playing a bigger game.

A GTA sandbox game where your the cop. And in this game you have various side quests ranging from police chases to find high schoolers who are skipping school (Doesn't sound like fun, but hey, I think it is more fun than it sounds, tracking down punk kids).The main quest would be perhaps some gang war or drug war quest. The game would be a first person shooter with a few hints of an rpg. Instead of leveling up you gain new equipment, better police vehicles (helicopters for example). This is a very ruff sketch but I think it would make a sweet game. I've never played crackdown, but I think I've heard that it is similar to this. But what I would be looking for is realism.
