:mask: Hi! My nick name is JD my real name is too long. I like to play games, I still play the best game of all N 64 Goldeneye Thi forum was recommended by a Dell tech support guy. I am having trouble with an error popping up an my laptop every time I try to play games, I am running Vista premium (64 bit)
I keep getting : screen resolution needs to be set to 1280 x 800 for this game to run properly. Any help to fix this problem would be greatly apreaciated. I have had this problem since I got my Dell XPS and the games came with it, I was told by Dell they could fix it, but it will cost me.

Help has arrived!! i have the same laptop, I know the problem and i think i know how to fix it. I'll do it step by step -
1) Open control pannel
2) Go for the classic view of the control pannel (I don't know where the button is on the home view)
3) open the NVIDIA control pannel icon. http://www.gamers-forum.com/imagehosting/128054b55a68a98807.jpg
4) Slide the first bar along till it reads the right resoloution. Click ok. That should be it.

Let me know if that doesn't work. :)

Welcome to the forums!

And if the problem persists, try Right Clicking and running in a Safe Version of XP, I believe it is. I had a similar problem running BioShock on my PC, but it would work in XP Compatibility mode just fine.
