Pirates 4 to start filming this summer

If Hawaiian locals think they'll be getting a break from all those Hollywood types once Lost wraps up at some point this spring, they should think again. Disney has announced that they'll start filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides there this summer, presumably taking advantage of some blue waters within United States borders.

Coming Soon has the full press release, which basically consists of a lot of quotes from Hawaiian government officials and Disney execs congratulating once another. The production is expecting to bring up to $85 million into the state's economy, which presumably is more than they were making arresting Lost stars for DUIs




On stranger tides...hmmm. I'm cautiously optimistic though

Indeed. Although I didn't hate 3 as much as everyone else did. I do hope they can do something good outta of the POTC franchise or just end in already.

aye totally .. i'm kinda torn if the 3rd one had a bad script or most of the actors just were too 'hammy' .. either way it can't be worse

as for johnny depp, i'd cut that dude some slack every day of the week

I agree with you. I found her very annoying in the first one, slightly less annoying in the second one and then mpre annoying in the last one. Why not have a new sexy gal for the fourth one.

Yeah that one disappointed me big time...they did a good job leaving that out of the trailers.
