Banner I Made

So I made this as a banner for another forum... the whole layout there is blue and white and I wanted something that matched. What do you think? There are a few white specks around the render and I did my best to cover it up without making it bluntly obvious that I was trying to do that... you can still tell though.

Other than that, it's pretty good. I like the colors and placements but I think the left side is a bit "graveled" while the right side is smooth. And the text looks a bit out of place - meaning plain - maybe a stroke would do the trick, or gradient.

Otherwise it's pretty good. Did a good job with the border as well.

I really like it Kitty. Kinda tricky to imagine it with the rest of the site design around it, but on it's own it's kinda cool.

As a matter of curiosity, what did you use to make it? I'm a Fireworks fan personally.

I like it, and I think you did a good job.
But you should try and blend the render a little more.
And maybe choose a different text, and color perhaps?
I hope I didn't sound like a meano.. >.<

I tried to blend the render, but I think you're right, a little more work wouldn't have hurt. As for the text, I just wanted something simple and easy to see, I didn't put much thought into it.

I like it but I agree with linus that it looks mor rugged on one side while the other sides smooth, but it look good :)
