In the past couple weeks there has been a mass influx of new members, some of which precede to post for a couple days and then sort of vanish. O_O We need to make our friends join and be active so there's more activity around here. There are only about ten people that I've seen regularly post in more than one thread..... We must band together to make this place more lively!

We tend to get more regulars in the summer time.

Well, at any rate, I'm buggin my friend to join... He's a pretty regular gamer and is online almost all day so I know he'll contribute a lot to the forum...

not everyone always feels that they always have valuable input to contribute to every thread.

A lot of members are one-post wonders and some never even make it that far. But at least the active members are fun. There's always something on here that makes me laugh.

sometimes there is tons of people posting and if i get on every other day there is like 200-300 new posts
but sometimes i log on every other day and there is like 20 posts

Forums are a strange thing, activity goes in waves. I know for example that on a forum that I was on for years consistently the spring til about late June was a time of great activity. After that things were dead until around October. Then things picked up again for a few months and kind of died down after Christmas (The winter activity varied, however the summer slowdown was like clockwork).

I'm honestly kinda surprised that I'm still around. I joined on a whim to try and get some bearings on what recent game were because I didn't have anything to good to play. Figured I'd peter out once the semester started... but here I am! Posting between emails and homework assignments...

I am usually on in the middle of the night when I'm working. I see jango around some and Hamada but I feel bad when my name fills up the recent thread tracker. Nights I am off from work tend to be to busy for me to make it on the interwebs.

Or - you could consider that a forum is amorphous mass of people whose actions define what the forum really is... the constant influx of members who burn out the day after could be argued as an integral part of the GF community (however disliked or unproductive they are.)

really I joined at first because i wanted a gaming forum (i was actually trying to start my own but i found this one and joined it. I got some of the members from the other forum to join over here but they didn't stick around.)

now i just kinda stay cuz theres really not much else to do.
