Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age?

Bioware has been rocking the RPG's lately. Did you like Dragon Age Origins or Mass Effect 2 better and why?

~ My vote is for Mass Effect 2. The game was just very well put together. The story and the characters were very well developed and interesting. After beating ME2 I instantly made a new character and started over. I liked the combat of ME2 much more then DAO.

omfg .. i knew someone would post a poll like this ..

on balance i'd have to go with DAO over ME2, purely for the fact it has less annoying aspects like scanning etc going for it. And I also enjoyed the story a little more. ME2 does rock hard tho .. but for me DAO marginally gets my vote.

Yeah its a tough choice. For me it came down to the combat and story. I felt much more in touch with the Mass Effect 2 characters and story then in Dragon Age. I was not a fan of the way they ended DAO and the ME2 ending seemed much more epic. I feel like the on the fly combat of Mass Effect was far superior to Dragon Age. I played both on the Xbox 360 so it could be different for the PC versions but there were a couple fights in DAO that I had to use the pause system to beat(the battle over the ashes if you choose to use the blood comes to mind).

On a side note did anyone use the Blood dragon armor much in either?

i agree with you about the endings for both frank - ME2 did better than DAO there for sure

i used the inferno armour for about 10-12 lvls in ME2 (on my first toon .. my second and third didn't bother with it at all) before getting some of the sweet shizzle from off-worlding. i didn't use the dragon armour in DAO at all though .. didn't like it all that much, and tbh it took no time at all to find stuff that gave a set bonus that i preferred.

Both are great games. but If I have to choose one. It's gotta be Dragon Age. The Deepest game I have ever played.

i heard mass effect was very shooter-like. and i really liked dragon age, and i'm not big on shooters.

i like both of course but if i only have one option, gonna say it's mass effect

I love Dragon Age way to much so I would prefer this game instead of Mass Effect, don't get me wrong both games are really good, but I just prefer Dragon Age.
