Happy Friday the 13th - 7/13/07

Today is friday the 13th and if u live in North America you probably heard that many people think its bad luck. Usually very superstitious on days like this.

People tend to think its bad luck because a lot of disasters occured on "Black Friday." One example is the stock market crash of 1929.

What do you believe?

Me: I'm not very superstitious so i leave it alone :spinny:

It's sometimes considered bad luck over here (england) too, but I don't know anyone who really believe in it.

I don't believe in bad luck. Only good luck, normal, and sod's law.

Yea, in Australia Friday the 13th is considered a bad luck day.

If you believe in luck you have to believe in all sorts of luck, you can't just believe in good luck, that's like saying "pork ribs are the greatest, i eat them all the time" and then saying "i don't like eating meat." to the same person in the same conversation.

Jim "I believe in Jesus and God and that if i'm good i'll go to heaven"
Henry "but you're hardly good.. so that means you'll go to hell"
Jim "No, hell doesn't exist, I'll just stay here"
Henry "You can't believe in heaven without hell"

For example, I don't know, if you believe in religion you believe there is 2 sides to go to, if you believe in everything there's always 2 or more sides, there is never one side, if you believe in only one side of it then you are obviously lying to yourself so you don't worry or lying to those around you to become more popular etc.

Nah, there isn't bad luck. Bad things happen to people BECAUSE they believe in bad luck. I don't, bad things don't happen to me, but good things do.

And I'm not religious either :p

That's stupid, you can only believe in it fully or not atall, anywhere in between is just.. stupid. bad things happen to people no matter, same with good things, i just don't believe in it atall. and i was giving religion as an example, not saying you are religious.

Friday the 13th doesn't come around verymuch. I wouldn't say it's bad luck... more like a holiday to me.:twitcy:

So technically you believe in bad luck you just deny believing in it, like i said, it's either all or none, superstition and everything else are 2 way roads, there are never single way roads.

No, I believe that the BELIEF in bad luck causes bad things to happen to you, not bad luck itself. If you don't believe in bad luck, it doesn't happen.
