This is from like.. forever ago.
I don't even think I did it right, but it's an I Am poem. (obviously)
I hope you enjoy.
I am from the northeastern state of Ohio.
The rustling leaves and trickling creeks.
I am from a mother and a father who weren't meant to be.
For I was an accident.
"You were the best accident that could have ever happened to me," he says.
I am from the hopes of being a born boy, Jacob Lee.
To the disappointment of being a girl named Allison Marie.
I am from the month of May. Flowers swaying in the wind and buzzing bees.
I am from dreams of life that could not be. But I continue dreaming.
I am from a fascination of photography that she hopes to once live.
I am from the ugly streets of Ohio.
A school where people are judged. You're either in or you're out.
I am from not caring what other people think of me.
I am from southern grassy fields, perfect weather.
Where fireflies shine bright, where the stars are in sight.
I am from bloody wrists, pain and sadness.
I am from teary voiced phone calls to him, I hear "I love you" and "You're beautiful."
I am from running, the finish line in sight. I can make it!
I wouldn't have the confidence if it weren't for him.
I am from screaming night, "I HATE YOU!"
I am from a family full of
drug abuse,
alcoholism,
mental abuse and depression.
I am from "I hope she doesn't turn out like you," to "Keep at it!"
I am from the support of a boy who loves me.
His warm embrace and love is what keeps me going.
He showed me that life is worth living.
I am from laughter.
I am from an artistic talent that may get me somewhere in life.
I am from a love like no other.
I am from a self esteem that's slowly rising, courage that is slowly growing.
I am from a cage around me that is slowly deteriorating. I am beginning to love the person I am becoming.
I am from simple acts of kindness, hoping that they make the strangers day just a little bit brighter.
I am from a quick temper, but a flame that only lasts a moment.
