Shixx has a nice website where I watched a video here:

http://ampite.com/?s=breach&x=0&y=0

This game looks very interesting. I like tactical first person shooter multiplayer games. It features a variety of 8 vs. 8 matches with destructible environments, degradable cover and a suppressive fire simulator.

The suppression fire was not demonstrated and you don't see it in any other videos right now so it must be a work in progress. Maybe because cover degrades there are a lot of issues to work out. I can see getting pinned while your cover is being destroyed breaking gameplay a bit.

Im no expert on game design (yet), but I hope they let you break form being suppressed based on the damage your cover takes.

For XBL they hope to price it at $15 (also planning to be released on the PC at a later date). Its interesting, but its using the engine from Six Days in Fallujah, a game that nearly died from lack of funding. Its an interesting article found here:

Six Days in Fallujah (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2010/03/six-days-in-fallujah-game-breach-atomic-games.html)

What are your thoughts on the title? Its a creative way to pay the bill and gain a publishers attention. But I'm also interested because this is a pretty high quality title for XBLA. Will this set the bar higher?

man, I really want a 360. full of multi-player games & its fun.

hopefully some newer FPS's are gonna adopt this concept. anyone know any games that have this concept? (Physics, tactics to kill your opponent, etc.)

looks 'kinda' interesting in places, but also seems incredibly rigid to play .. i guess we'll see in the summer

Lack of funds my arse. Six days was canned because of political pressure.

Mass effect2, has tactics and a good physics engine (mostly for your biotic powers).

I would be interested in a GF team. We would need a steady 8 man group.

hm, I see, is that the only game though that has that type of physics?

and I hope to join you guys.... eventually when I get a 360. haha.

I'd be down for this, looks like fun (esp if we could get a bunch of us together for a team!) :)

I don't have the xbox though... would we be rocking this out PC or Console style? I feel like it would be good to have a poll for that closer to the actual release date if we had a lot of people interested.

well if i'm gonna try it at all it'll be on the pc (still undecided) .. i don't mix well with consoles (a bit like water and electricity tbh .. and less of a spark)

certainly in my case a poll wouldn't help hehe .. i guess it just depends who's still interested nearer the time, and what the most common platform is *shrug* .. so aye, maybe a poll would help in that respect

Yeah, Im pretty sure that most every other game that has the cover mechanic doesn't have an emphasis on destructible environments. One of their big selling points is that they are the first to make a game to feature both. Im sure there are some destructible objects in games with a cover system, but they are all pre rendered, where as in this one it relies on a physics engine.

Combining the two sounds a little crazy to be honest. You will have to learn what caliber bullet will penetrate or degrade different kinds of cover. Hopefully it will be a very objective oriented experience, as I can see a strait up death match quickly becoming a game of camping.

The game looks interesting, since the creator makes training games for the Armed Forces you know they have a clue what they're doing. :)

Again my only concern is combining destructible cover with a pining fire system. It will either work really well or really bad in terms of how well the game works as a whole.

On the upside, a team of people who actually support each other will have a huge advantage.

ew, why where you watching g4. They dont even play the games, they just hype them according to who pays them the most.
