20th Century Fox announced today that Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, the third movie in the Big Momma's House franchise, will hit theaters Feb. 18, 2011 (Presidents' Day weekend). Martin Lawrence will reprise his role as an FBI agent whose investigations lead him to go undercover, cross-dressing in a fat suit as the titular character. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the third movie finds Big Momma going undercover at an all-girls performing-arts school.

The original Big Momma's House opened to $25.7 million in 2000 and ultimately grossed an impressive $117.6 million (or nearly $170 million adjusted for ticket price inflation). Despite this success, it was over five years before the sequel, Big Momma's House 2, was released. While it opened to $27.7 million, it came up short of the original's final tally, closing with a still solid $70.2 million. All told, the series has grossed over $310 million worldwide.

I thought the first was decent, but found the 2nd to be rather lacking. 3rd :confused1:...why? Come ML turn them down and do something else. Man ML's career went to the sh88er. Bad Boy/2, Life, Blue Streak, Nothing to Lose, National Security, House Party/2 to Rebound, Big Momma House 2/3, Open Season, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, College Road Trip, Wild Hogs 1/2...Sad

haha I saw the first one on TV and really liked it. Old big black ladies are very funny. But your right, didn't bother to see the sequel, kinda a rule of thumb for comedies, it gets worse and worse (I'm sure there are exceptions tho just can't think of any off the top of my skull)

man, his old stuff is better, but .... I think he should stop man... especially with that new movie that he's in, "my father's dead" or somethin like that. somethin to do with a funeral.
