Well I believe almost all of us here are shooters.
Yeh, shooter in unrealistic world of gaming.

I just wanna know which between 'Console pad like PS3/XBOX360 controller' or just a 'PC mouse' to play shooters genre games?

For me of course it's PC mouse. There is no doubt about that. It's way more easier.

I think both are very handy, but I'm more of a console person so I voted for console, but for me.... there is no real difference

my inability to aim with a freaking analog stick has always kept me either (1) away from console shooters or (2) sucking at them x.x

gotta have my super-high-sensitivity-able-to-twitch-for-180˚ mouse control... can't turn corners, whirl around, or track heads with an analog stick the way I can with a mouse.

the only shooter I used to be good at with a controller was SOCOM II but I haven't played that in years, I bet if I play again, I won't be very good...

Most of my shooters are on the PC anyway. Mouse + Keyboard works best for me. I can react quickest there.

I said the console
just because I never use the PC mouse except for the sims.

I voted for console pad. I use my pc/mac mouse for other games and some shooters like house of the dead. But I play more games on my consoles, recently I've been keeping computers for software only *hides pc games underneath desk with foot*
Plus When u play a game like fear on ps3, all you wont to do is get angry with a game pad

The only shooter I play is on the pc... so I find a touch pad easiest for shooters.
I can't work any controller but that of the ps2/3 ... so i guess that kinda means that i prefer pc... in general

PC Mouse.

Pros: Makes aiming easier, more in control.

Cons: Carpal Tunnel

Better on the PC, even tho I havnt played a shooter on the pc in years. I think the last shooter I played on a pc was quake arena.

It's easier to aim with a mouse, but otherwise I prefer to use a controller. I hate keyboards for games

For shooters I gotta have a mouse. On the other hand I feel like some games are designed for a joystick and feel akward otherwise. Like Spiderman or any of the Tomb Raiders. JMO

I prefer controllers over mice by 100 thousand.
And only because I'm so used to them.
Can I use the mouse? Sure.
Is it easier? Maybe.
But since I've always played shooters on consoles, I'm so used to the controller to where it's easier to use than a mouse.
If I was starting over maybe I'd go for the PC.
But for now, I prefer the console.

I voted mouse.

I think the reason a majority of gamers may find the mouse and keyboard easier is because we have most likely all grown up with it. The standard keyboard, mouse and monitor set up hasn't changed throughout the course of the pc's duration, where as consoles obviously all have different controllers, though tend to keep the same design of their specific controller the same as it's predecessor (except Nintendo).

For me, being on a pc almost all the time has definitely got the mouse as my friend.

As Diligence said, the analog stick isn't capable of unrealistic quick turns....

After all, what's better than hearing a noob fire his Deagle at you and miss, only for you to turn around and headshot him in less than a second? hahaha
