But LeBron already tops Kobe.
Sure, Kobe can shoot great-
But so can LeBron.
LeBron is a monster when it comes to offense. He can drive the ball all the way, not being stopped. A strategy could be just give the ball to LeBron.
Kobe isn't like that.
He can shoot.
That's about it, nothing else really amazing. And Shooting is needed for all players, I don't see it as something special.

Kay but so do the sucky players on the Lakers.
Rings prove nothing.
Stats are what compare players, not rings.
Sure, he's won more. But that doesn't prove anything when it comes to his power-playing skills.

Yeah they all have rings because they played their roles. Basketball is one of those team sports that can rely just as heavily on a superstar as it can for a whole team.
Gotta play team defense to win championships. Far as I'm concerned, the Lakers players earned their rings....except for Adam Morrison. He sucks balls.

Are you kidding me?
FOOTBALL is a team sport. One person fails their job, they lose.
BASEBALL is a team sport. One person fails their job, they lose.
Sports like SOCCER and BASKETBALL are games where 1 player can make a difference.
Most of the Cav's players aren't great, it's LeBron, Z, and Shaq that basically lift the whole team.
One super player in Basketball who can block shots, run and shoot can and will make a difference.
Where as in Football, a lineman fails a block? Sack.
Quarterback throws a bad ball? A Pick
Wide Reciever misses a catch? Missed Pass
Basketball is not a team sport. One great player can make the other players SEEM good, when they aren't, because it only takes one person to shoot a basket ball, unline it takes at least 3 people to make a pass in football.

Defense doesn't matter if you can score huge.
And look, a bad player who got that ring. But he deserved it, according to what you said.
tbh i see No point in arguing over this what so ever.

what about back ups or what ever who rarely get any play time? (football) they all get rings... does that mean they're good? no

Then don't post here.
You saying there is no point has no point.
And Jjiet, no, they may not get play time, but my argument is not that people who suck don't' deserve rings.
My point is that One player CAN change a basketball game and CAN win a game for a team, whereas in sports like Football, one player doesn't make that much of a difference, you need a whole team who works together.

You should ask the Phoenix Suns how that has worked out for them. Leading the league in scoring 5 of the last 6 years. Never got past the Western Conference Finals.
I saw the warriors score over 120 pts multiple times this year and they didn't even make the playoffs.
You can't say defense doesn't matter
