i'm always massively sceptical about hollywood films about a time/person/event from history .. mostly because they fail at being based in, well, history ..

Here's russell crowe on a national radio show (BBC Radio 4) promoting robin hood. He's being interviewed by a VERY well respected cutural dude, but crowe takes offense at comments about his accent in the movie and walks out live on air ..
