Well, the first CPU is the better one but the core speed is really low. I use the intel i7 920 on a server and the speed is almost double that one. Even though it's better I'm not sure how games would react to a 1.6ghz CPU, especially on a laptop.

The second one is similar but has a slightly weaker CPU but more speed. And both CPU's should be able to handle any game out there now, but again, I'm not sure how different games act to core speeds. It just comes down to the pricing I guess.

I also wouldn't recommend you play intense games on laptops. They tend to heat up very quickly unless it's very well ventilated and/or cooled and the parts inside could literally melt. I've had that happen with my old toshiba satellite laptop. And back then, the laptop could handle any and every game out there just like these two laptops can today.

Well both look likes have an amazing features.
But the thing that i seen before was that, Desktop is still better than laptop in gaming.
Well its depend on you buy I will still choose laptop although I know desktop is better for gaming but since the laptop is kinda new and the latest, all I know was that there should only little problem might occur if you played on the latest laptop available on the market.
Dont worry.

Some suggestion I would make are try to find a laptop that has Hyperthreading, get a quad core CPU,Graphics card well since you want high end gaming I would suggest the top of the line from NVIDIA since they do a kick ass job since Doom since its a laptop I would get a type 2, i believe ram upgrade the more ram the better you are.

That is just me thought.

The card is good enough to handle any games now and probably for the next year until it starts becoming the minimum requirement settings rather than the recommended.

But the hardware capabilities of a laptop and desktop are very different. So even though the GPU is great now, it may burn out sooner than it would on a desktop.
