Well yesterday for no apparent reason my Chome has refused to continue to work. I searched high and low for answers, deleted and re-installed and it didn't work. So today I searched a lil more and apparently there is tdss rootkit thing that kills Chome. So if your Chome ever breaks and deleting and re-installing doesn't help rootkit killer will pwn it

Can you explain what exactly rootkit does?

Can you explain what exactly rootkit does?

rootkits are a type of malware, used by hackers to gain access to computers, servers, etc. Rootkit remover/killer can find rootkits in your computer/server and remove them. They can be very annoying. There should be some free ones around the internet that you can search for. I use one for my linux servers but it won't work on windows servers.
