A part-time job rakes in around 350 a week here in NY.
When you get older you'll start to understand how cheap being a gamer really is compared to when you were a kid.
Thats true as a kid u gotta save all ur allowance and lunch money. Whats the cost of living where u are from kink pretty high i would imagine.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers but Long Island is super expensive and the average NYC apartment runs around 1200 and that's just a kitchen, a bedroom, and common room. Also when you look at taxes, like a pack of cigarettes are around 10 bucks but just a few hours in Pennsylvania it's only 5.50 still. That can give you a rough idea.
Unless your upstate or in the ghetto, you pretty much live paycheck to paycheck.
Surprisingly our armpit Jersey is the most expensive place to live I think.
