Ashley Judd will star opposite Patrick Dempsey in indie bank heist comedy "Flypaper," replacing Liv Tyler.
It's Judd's first role after taking a year off to get her graduate degree at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and graduating less than a month ago. Filming starts in Baton Rouge next week.
Tim Blake Nelson is also starring as a bank robber in "Flypaper," produced by Peter Safran, Mark Damon and Dempsey.
Pic is directed by Rob Minkoff from a script by "The Hangover" team of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore in the tale of a bank robbed by two groups of crooks at the same time. However, they both come under attack by a secret enemy (Dempsey), to save the bank teller whom he loves.
Judd last appeared opposite Dwayne Johnson in Fox's "Tooth Fairy."
She's repped by WME.
