Ahhh,
my friend has just brought a 47 inch 3D Tv. So lucky, cheeky nut also has an arcade machine.
So then what is the current advantage of having a 3D Tv. I mean hardly anything is in 3D for home use right now. So am I not seeing the hype, am I wrong? Should I be looking towards the future and how 3D Tv will effect the video game industry. I admit, I would be interested in playing a 3D video game, it would have to be something epically scary to get me interested though.
Me.....right now, though I am curious I'm not particually swayed and swooning over buying a 3D TV set yet, especially since they don't come with glasses, you have to buy those seperatly.
Even when I go to the cinema, fork out a tonne of money to see a film In 3d, half the time I think the 3D isn't even that effective. When I watched Avatar in 3D, 1) I thought the film was a lil' meh, 2) I could barely tell the 3D, nothing jumped out at me, not like that stupid dance movie advert where I automatically ducked because of the ball, ....stupid flying ball!
Final destination 4 in 3D sucked like a dying moose, but the 3D was excellent, so the trick is,.... well why is the world going coo coo over 3D? I have no idea!
Now hologram TV, that's something I could seriously get into! Get me a hard light chip, and put on a ziggy stardust video, and watch me @':..?'*&^%^&*(
lol
...I have a crush on The Stardust lol
That would be weird having somebody standing in your living room like that. Especially if could poke them with sticks....pretty unusual...

PS3 will be having some 3D games in the future, but I don't see any reason to jump into the 3D market.

I played games with 3D glasses on my uncles comp non of the games I played was made to jump out of the game but it did even older games like counter-strike source it worked

not everything jumps out but the things that do amaze me like the weapon you hold in MW2 looks way more detailed than normal

I will definetly get in to the awesomness of 3D glasses when it get cheaper ;)
I just wish they would call it something else because we have had games in 3D for a long time now

watching movies is much better I watched a trailer to a movie about racing I dont know how to explain it was just epic stuff jumping out of the screen dirt hitting your face you could smell the rubber (maybe that was me)

Tomorrow, there will be a special PlayStation Store update, which will usher in a new era of videogames where you can truly feel part of the action. By downloading the 3D Collection you can play WipEout HD, SuperStardust HD, PAIN and a MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo in amazing stereoscopic 3D.
You can download all four for the bargain price of €29.99 or pick them up for free when you buy a Sony Bravia 3D TV package. Of course, if you already own WipEout HD, SuperStardust HD or PAIN, there will be a free software update, so that you can play them in 3D

I feel that this 'might' be an entertainment requirement for the common American household... that or they should put some options built into these type of Tv's ....
so far, we got HD channels & the regular ones. what more with 3d channels?
we got blu-ray, HD dvds or standard dvds, maybe 3d dvds? or some sort. media changes...

When BR got Warner to sign that the straw that broke the wars back. 25% is far too small to be able to compete with your competitor

I can't stand 3D. However, I think silent hill 3D would be amazing. just imagine, staring down a long empty dark hallway, and having it be in 3D. *shudder*

i might pick up a 3DS though, since that interests me.

3D hurts my eyes, gives me headaches lol D:
so I hope its not "the future~"

Actually I figure once the movie 3D craze dies out, most fascination with it will die out too D:

Well after 3 years I might be able to afford one. I saw a kid playing on a ds with 3D glasses, he looked like a moose, sat there like a robo-chump. I hope I never look that stupid.....*wearing the virtual boy doesn't count as the virtual boy is so fail, its a win!*
When I go to the movies i see a 3d movie and look like a moose, i turn around and everybody is sat there in identical big ski goggles like an army of spectacle eating hippies,...... And I do this regular-like!

I thought 3DS didn't require the glasses? was i wrong or was he doing it just to do it?

it was just this thing that this kid was wearing, god knows what he was doing but the glasses said 3d sony on them and he was playing on a ds with this screen over it, I was like o_0 then i wanted to play on it but the kid could see that derranged looking look in my eyes and backed off.
