So i have a Chat program called IMVU which is a 3D chat program where its pretty much an RPG where you can be anyone you want etc etc.

So im sitting around with this on and i get a invite to join a chat and I do. These girls are asking me if I want an Escort or not and they are asking for credits, and asking me to spend real money to buy credits to pay them..

Question is would that be Prostitution?

I think so, since definition of Prostitution is giving money in return for sexual favors Im pretty damn sure thats still illegal
If little kids are on this program, and YOU KNOW they are and for some reason or another law enforcement traces this it can turn ugly for all parties.

Anyone else see a real issue with this crap?

you got online hookers wanting virtual money for cyber sex and all this junk? What is wrong with people today?

And whether it's prostitution or not will differ from one state to another. I don't think it would be considered prostitution in NY as it isn't real currency. But then again, a lot of cyber laws are still very new and even more are undeveloped so my guess is that it's not even written in any law yet.

Putting law aside...yes I think it's prostitution.

Should I use a Wal-Mart gift card or a Best Buy gift card... I got 5 of these things just laying around.

I think the Best Buy gift card would be more appealing to a prostitute because it has better stuff then Wal-Mart

Ive seen it on world of warcraft, on my first relam i was ever on there was this hooker who pretty much tried to have sex with every horde member, including me, at the time, it was 100g to do anything, i knew this because she told me and i couldnt stop laughing, and she made about 25k in less than a week.
