So? Do you harbor extreme hatred toward the rest of humanity? (Misanthropy) Or are you a humanitarian? (Philanthropy) I want to know where you stand, since I'm leaning towards the first option and have been for a long time. As long as I can remember actually.
... Not really sure what prompted me to start this thread, but it sounds decent. Which side are going to take?

Can I be a lil of both? Some times I hate humanity for all the wrong we do, but sometime I am a humanitarian type and want to help

I dunno. But then again, it's not like there are rules as far as this goes. I just thought it'd be black-and-white, cut-and-dry. But it's your choice. Or... view... or whatever it's called. I can't think atm. -_-

Well ironically I harbor a very deep hatred of humanity in general. Yet I'm going to be a shrink because I harbor the urge to help the screwed up people to no end. So basically, I'll probably hate X person unless they're in a crazy farm.

I try to stay positive about life.. So I guess for the most part I'm a Humanitarian.. I try to help people more then I tend to hate them or not help someone..
Yet I have to agree with Thedeparted. I can be a lil of both.. Even tho I just try to look at all the good things that people do but I still see all the bad things that people can do as well..
Which make me have a hatred toward humanity for all the terrible things that people do to one another... Maybe Its not hatred toward humanity but just a hatred towards bad people in general....

I hate people. But I mostly like persons.
(in case that ain't clear - i like people as individuals, but tend to hate groups of individuals because they're no longer individuals - just a big mass of annoyingness)
Ya digg?

Pretty much. That and that the majority of people when evaluated alone, are nice and decent, but bigger groups of people ....ya know.... i really dunno how to explain

The more people you put in one place the more idiotic they are? Take for example the gun shows down here. Now I know many gun owners who are smart people. I go to a gun show, and I cringe. You can see the bottom of the gene pool. Something like that? Groups polarize and bring out the worst kinds usually.

I knew this for a long time, the more people that gather into one area the things they can and will do are incredibly stupid. Sometimes deplorable. On the other hand, withdrawn people can keep to themselves unless they crack after being on the receiving end of such stupid acts, and try to take matters into their own hands. Their revenge I guess you could say. Since it isn't necessarily "justice." Things like that can sow the seeds of hatred for quite a number of people. I've thought like this for a long time though, so I can't really put a finger on why or how I started to hate mankind. :/

I'd say it's because they suck it up in general.
