Since I've moved, I was curious about the state animals here and whatnot, so I decided to look some up :)

State Animals (http://www.stateanimals.com/states.html)

It's kind of interesting how many there can be, and some of them are pretty neat. Is your state's cool or lame? :P

California:

State Animal: California Grizzly Bear
State Insect: California Dogface Butterfly
State Marine Mammal: Gray Whale
State Fish: Golden Trout
State Bird: California Quail
State Marine Fish: Garibaldi
State Reptile: Desert Tortoise

Vermont:

State Animal: Morgan Horse
State Butterfly: Monarch Butterfly
State Bird: Hermit Thrush
State Insect: Honeybee
State Amphibian: Northern Leopard Frog
State Cold Water Fish: Brook Trout
State Reptile: Painted Turtle State Warm Water Fish: Walleye Pike

California's are of course pretty awesome, though Florida was actually the coolest I looked at so far.

Animal of scotland - the haggis. It's so cute. It's front legs are shorter than it's back legs for going up hills >.< But it has a really sore bite :(

Here's a piciature
I lied. There is no tartan-clef-haggis. :(

I know it's very U.S.-centered, but I still love you guys D:

also, Lemon, I just looked up what a white trillium is, and it is awesome

Also I didn't know that many famous people came from Connecticut :P

Yeah, actually, is that a rule everywhere?

I know poppies are illegal to pick in California if they're not on your property or on government property or something like that; I don't remember (that is their state flower)

I suppose it is because of the state flower thing, but it could also be because of opium-related uses *shrug*
