If you dont want to read everything, hit the main points marked 1,2,3, and 4.
1)So i just got home from seeing the new Cage movie Sorcerer's apprentice.
For the most part I have to say it was excellent. Good action, interesting plot twist and turns all that jazz.
But for the love of god someone explain to me WHY there is like strip club like dancing in a kid friendly movie??
SPOILER
at the end when the most evil witch is released and trying to raise hell on earth she does a dance and this dance includes getting on the ground and shaking everything. There was even a moment where her /cough were about to be exposed, it seemed. Im not complaining I LOVED IT, only a few seconds every minute or two I got to see of it, but still epic.
I dont know anymore it seems like this country wants to censor as much as humanly possible but yet in a pg rated movie you got a very hot chick doing a dance that would seen as sexy or whatever you wanna name it. Its odd, but it does get worse when the rating goes up, it is kinda sad if you drop the **** bomb twice its an automatic R rating. I know this because my manager told me when i worked at a movie place.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) ANOTHER THING, why is it all action flicks involve love?? This is beyond understanding for me. How can one's action be purely based on love??
Im here to see raw violence in an action movie, not always going to get it the way I want, oh well. Its ok to add love into the story but dont take the story and half way through change it to where its nothing but involving love.
Here movies right now, not including this one that have done it.
1) Dark knight
2) Equilibrium
3) Batman Begins.
4) Ninja Assassin.
I love action I just hate how the storyline is twisted to change the entire setting mood that took them 2 hours to set up. That is just me.
Also, these training parts in movie, where like in batman begins wayne is learning how to fight, and everything else. Why arent these parts longer, its a good way to grab the viewer because it allows them to see what they are going through to become whatever, Batman, Superman, some random ninja. It helps out. I can understand the time factor that is understandable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
3)Time is the biggest factor/ enemy involved in movie productions you want to make it longer enough to add everything to complete the story but not too long where it gets boring.
You want to add enough action that it keeps it interesting but not to where it nothing but action and no story line
and you want to add enough story line to keep people up to speed on everything and let them figure out everything on their own or by the end of the movie. You dont want to make it to complex or to long of a story where people get confused or the story line is to involved.
I believe those all the most important factors in a film
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
4)But still training to learn how to use magic is very important since dum dum dum! the movie is about a 20 year old learning to become the most important/powerful wizard in the world. So learning this is very important to development of the storyline. Just saying he learned how to conjour fire, and defend against it 20 minutes ago and NOW he is the most powerful wizard able to do anything makes no sense.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It goes along the lines of what happened In Bulletproof Monk, where Sean William Scott was fighting a super nazi, yes he was super nazi, and out of no where the monk who was like 120 years old says "You can beat him just believe," or something along those lines. He closes his eyes for a moment opens them and he becomes a super badass and 20 minutes eariler he could barely fight or do anything related to what the monk could.
Last part, when fighting the main villian in a movie why is they only fight for like 20 seconds and its over and the good guys win? why cant it be more epic and longer? Yes time, bah bah bah, it doesnt account for im a noob at this but im going to kick your ass here in about 20 seconds. No you cant do that it makes no sense. Thats like me getting into a fight with someone stronger in real life getting beaten up badly then out of no where i get up and smash his face into the ground. It dont work like that. BAH
The storyline is what develops the action, the action develops the story and both contriube to time allowed. You have to give or take and its hard both are needed.
