Mouse Scrolling Problem

Yea, I've got one of those black "hp" mouses with the grey wheel in between the left and right clickers people use to scroll down. I use that to scroll down and I've done so for like.. ever. Anyway, lately when I try to scroll up or down using that little grey wheel thing it always wants to scroll up a little bit. I'm not sure why it's doing it, but it's really irritating. I forget how long it's done that, just now remembered to ask about it. It's like a race to scroll all the way down the page. It doesn't climb up to the top all the way each time, just wants to keep going up as if I scrolled up myself once or twice. But it does it about every two scrolls I make it do. Soo, do I have some virus I can't find or is this thing just gettin' old and used too much?

If someone could help that'd be awesome, 'cause I'm ready to tear this thing away from the PC and start stomping on it. -_-

that mouse would have been long gone if it was mine, i mean is there really that much stuff u can do to fix a mouse?

Just buy a new mouse? o.o They're like $10? o.o

take the cover off, take the ball and clean the things that make it move. it's likely caked with foreign matter

Oh wait it has a ball? I was assuming optical.

If that's the case, yeah, try cleaning it.

lol TNT!! XD I'll just try to get out and buy another one then I guess. It doesn't have a ball though, the grey wheel thing is about quarter size and really skinny/narrow. And in between the left and right clickers. But anyway, guess I'll just try to get another one then. Thankz.
