Reports: Brett Favre tells Minnesota Vikings he will retire - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp10/news/story?id=5433551)

Very sad to hear this but then again he is really really old... I love watching Brett play and have enjoyed many years watching him play with the Packers..

Even when he played for the Jets and Vikings I stilled enjoyed watching him play..

I'm not going to really believe this until either he says something or until the end of the season.....

Brett ankle isnt were he wants it but I can see the Viking taking him mid/late season if their in the hunt to the playoffs....

With the season he had last year with the Vikings (Favre threw for over 4,200 yards with 33 touchdowns and just seven interceptions to lead the Vikings) (12-4)

I dont see why he wouldnt come back.... Brett is one of the best QB ever in my opinion.

A three-time league MVP (1995-97), Favre won Super Bowl XXXI with the Packers. His 11 Pro Bowl appearances are the most ever by a quarterback.

Favre holds most major NFL records for a quarterback, including career touchdowns (497), yards passing (69,329); wins (181); and seasons with at least 3,000 yards passing (18).

Of course, he also has thrown the most interceptions (317) and been sacked 503 times -- a long, long history of wear and tear.

Lol, it's a fake.
Just like the last two times, he's just getting out of training camp.
By the end of camp we'll hear, "I've decided not to retire" and then he'll see what team signs him.
It's just routine.
