Gaming binges. YES!

So who here has a tendency to go on unhealthy gaming binges? Whats the longest you have gone, and the most you have spent? Largest group you have binged with? Smallest? What games do you play when this happens?

My plans for the weekend, lengthy and not really necessary:

Working full time sucks. I hardly have time to play games for 12 hours strait anymore like I used to. But this weekend will be MONUMENTAL.

Three days strait of catching up on lost gaming time. I wil have Friday sat and sun off and I plan to abuse my freetime to the limit. Also I have cut ties with all female distractions, and even stopped paying for my phone.

Dominoes on speed dial, 360, Wii, PS2, N64 and classic NES are prepped and ready on a multi port audio video hub.

I used to stack boxes of soda and junk food for these events but recently I have decided to get back into shape... (or I spent all my money on more games and Im starving, tou decide).

And like sharks drawn to blood in the water, several of my friends have dropped of extra TVs and computer cases for this weekend. I even hooked up Wii speak (lol, I never seem to have in on unless the person is in the same room).

The agenda you ask?

Monster Hunter3 (for at least one full day)
Starcraft2
MW2 bleh
Castle Crashers
Marvel vs. Capcom2
Halo3

in between group games I hope to the tackle the rest of Luna, and take a good chunk out of Jenne Dark. We will of course be revisiting classics but those are usually spontaneousness and violent where someone makes the mistake of claiming to be the best at so and so, and the group consumes his soul.


I realllllllllly cant wait for this weekend.

But yes to answer my own questions:

Yes I am a binger. =(

Longest time? Entire summers in high school almost. =P But in one sitting 2 1/2 days (pc arcade went all weekend).

Most I have spent? For the release of Monster hunter 3 I spent nearly $400 for just the one game, accessories and food stock pile. =P

Largest group, maybe up to 16 people back in the glory days of halo LANs. On PC probably just as many for CS and CSS.

Smallest group? Me and my younger brother, all weekend, many many a time.

We play whatever, its like cocaine we dont care what brand it is.

Years ago, I used to binge on CS and ROSE. Early 2000s. But the most I've played is probably 12-14 hours straight (for both games).

Recently, my longest playtime was BFBC2 of like 4 hours a few weeks ago because I lost track of time. Besides that, Haven't had enough time for much.

Used to play Halo for hours and hours....

Longest time sitting down to just play was FFX.... Played for 12-16 hours at a time....

I don't usually play in groups, but since I've joined GF that's kinda changed....

Smallest ( and best ) group, just me and my brother (the one you guys met in NY) playing till 4am on school nights when our parents got up to get us ready and we were still playing... *memories**tears up*

I've Played lots of games 15 hours + before when I beat Halo 2 in a day and Twilight Princess, but my longest is close to 24 hours in runescape lol.

Longest time... 20 hours straight. By the end of it, we were all so crap it was hillarious - well, we would've found it funny if we hadn't been blurry eyed, hungry and suffering from but cramp.

Biggest group... umm... I think there was maybe 16 of us..? and we had a boys versus grils eye toy championship. Holy macaroni was that amazing. Watching people play eye-toy is funny enough, but when everybody starts taking it seriously, it's the funniest thing. That may also have been the best group of people i played with. We didn't get much game time each, but it was the bomb.

Smallest group... would be me. Alone. Though technically that's not a group... I guess, back in primary (elementary) school, 2 friends would come round... and they were short - aka small. And they woulkd sit and watch me play sims for like 3 hours... And tell me what to do... and my god, we were sad.

I guess i buy pizza? But that's not too expensive and i buy beforehand - 'cos it's cheaper XD

Ive been known to go on binges, i try to avoid them tho. I played 70 hours of red dead redemption in 6 days a month back. Me n Shixx were gunna Beat gears of war 2 on insane in one sitting but only got 9 hours in when his wife made him call it quits. Now that i think of it, almost everytime i game with shixx its like an 8+ hour event but always well worth it.

4 hours strait is like, a daily occurrence for me if I can get away with it. But work and friends always get in the way (and I make sure to put friends before video games).

I played pokemon ruby for 12 hours straight the first day I got it. Otherwise, i played for like 6 hours straight tops.

i spent 15 hours straight playing ragnarok.. and i dont do it anymore, cause my eyes would hurt.. its not healthy.. the maxmimum hours i can play straight is like 3 hours..

Gamer binges have to be the most satisfying thing in the world! I plan to have one this weekend. My usual goal is to complete a whole game in one run. But i do have snack, and meal breaks. I usually play Manhunt, or Bioshock. Whenever I plan a binge I buy a 12 pack case of MONSTER energy drink. This usually keeps me up all the time. heh. Im not sure what I will do this weekend, but I will have a Binge. I Also hope to finally get Red Dead Redemption.

yay monster is amazing. i had a 70 plus hour week on red dead remeption.Im trying to find another game i wanna buy for 360 and im also getting a ps3 this week i think so binge for me also

I've played games from early in the morning. 6am to....
well I dont think there's an end to that because I'd drink soda just to keep me up... and these Asian crackers my sister got me back then. haha.

anyway, its this mmo called granado espada. I still dont know how many hours i've logged into that game. I just keep playing it... but now, not anymore... back to reality. haha.

I think my whole life may be one giant gaming binge lol Damn work/school for getting in the way!! :P I think with D2 and WoW is where my binges are the worst. In high school we would play D2 almost all weekend. Only got worse when I first started to play WoW.... Id have everyone come over to my place after work Friday and no one would leave until Sunday night. Whether we were playing WoW, Smash Bros, Mario Party, Magic or D&D, it was awesome- good times. Come to think of it.... thats still what my weekends consist of ^_^

I would say I have a gaming binge when ever a new Fifa or Halo is released. In the case of Halo I will usually buy it on a Friday when I'm off work for the weekend, and I wont stop playing until I have completed it :P
