Alienware is/was the leader in laptop gaming systems. Might want to check them out see if they are still making the awesome machines they did before dell bought them out

I wouldn't really recommend a laptop for gaming. They heat up really quickly and the upgrades you can do are very limited. But I have heard Alienware to be good for this, although, it's definitely not better than gaming on a desktop.

i fully agree with this.. and gaming laptops prices are high, and with that high price, you can build a high end gaming desktop already.. far more superior than that gaming laptop.. Well you can carry laptop anywhere, thats whats good about it..

I agree w/ you. Years ago my laptop with no extra cooler fans heated and the hardisk turned unaccessible. But I think if we have some extra fans attached then it would be fine.

My brother has an Alienware laptop and he takes it EVERYWHERE and games all day.
So...That overheating issue might not be too big on an Alienware.

Doesn't matter what computer it is, just depends on the components and cooling parts that are in the laptop.

I really like the looks of the cooling setup. Front to back air flow so it won't cook your legs (or GPU) while your gaming. Price isn't bad considering I paid $1000 for a plain Core 2 Duo/3870m lappy about a year ago. Web surfing with low screen brightness nets about 2 hours of battery life. Also really good compaired to my laptop.
