If they have something interesting to say, and have actual views or can actually do something... then, yes, their fame is a powerful tool that can be used in good ways. However... do most of them have the skill and knowledge to do this?
No.

No they shouldnt. But most do anyway saying "war is bad save the whales" or something.. and normally afterwards they get around 250,000 plus bucks.

Not in a public fashion. In their private way like the rest of us, yes. On national TV and what not, no. The issue is that too many people just say "They support it so will I!".

Besides the situation with movie stars getting involved in politics, Mr. Terminator himself, isnt doing a bad job.
But one thing that really bothers me is all these movie/ music stars that do commercials asking for money from us.. That is truly a pile of crap.

It doesn't really matter if movie stars go into politics if they actually know about politics
but if an inexperienced actor starts talking about politics or runs for governor and they don't know the challenge at hand then that would be bad
thats why I said no
I think there is to big of a step to acting and being a governor and caring for actual people

This is a major flaw in democracy - stars can win elections based on popularity alone.

The first person I think of when it comes to pop stars and politics is U2's Bono. While he's done some cool things I can't get past how aggrevating he is, and often self-righteous. There's also Sting who campaigned for the rain forest .. and flew 100% more miles promoting it ..
I dunno really about this .. wish there'd been a 'sometimes' option ..

Well they are people just like you and me , But just like you and me they sometimes tend to have stupid Idea's. But unlike you and me there thoughts get put up all over the web. Therefore I think that it is a toss up . Everybody wants there view to be heard . But then these guys get there's heard. Sometimes they say some really good stuff . But they tend to be a bit undereducated in there speeches. So my verdict is I do not know .

Well the difference between this actor and most others is , He went to college for politics if I am not mistaken. So he would know what he is talking about . Unlike , Brad Pitt or some random actor / Actress . So I feel comfortable letting Arnold talk for us .
