i think i need a new graphics card for my computer, and i dont really know how to install it, if anybody can briefly explain to me how to install, i would appreciate it thanks, and i didnt buy the card yet, and i wanna be ready to do it when i do get it, this is a 6 year old computer, but works fine, my video card is probably worn out

well if ur old graphics card is built in to the motherboard, u gotta disable it first, otherwise just take out the old graphics card and replace with new one, u gotta open up ur cpu for that, if u dont see a graphics card, then it is built in, just go to control panel and disable ur graphics card, then open ur cpu and install where ever it fits lol, somewhere along the bottom there are slots for extra drives, and turn on ur computer, put in cd and install, and ur set

ok thanks linux, i opened my computer yesterday and saw what it looked like, and i know where to put it now, i didnt know i had to disable my old one, thanks for that info! ;D
