Dual boot and use both. That's what I do right now.
Otherwise, I like Win7 right now although I find that it lags for certain games for me, usually MW2 and BFBC2. And it's the same hardware so I know it's Win7 that's the problem. But I've also heard that the 64bit is what the issue may be and that's what I have.

Well it depends. If you have XP and you're loving it there's not a whole lot that will change. If you have video cards that use Directx10 that's a plus you can't get on XP. It also depends, if you're going from an XP 32 bit to a window 64bit I'd suggest it. Over all 7 just a nice number of small features that make it useful (like the ability to actually fix problems and tell you what drivers you need). But I am also running 7 Ultimate, so I can't vouch for any lower edition.
Over all? Eh why not. It'll give you a bit of new stuff to play with.

I agree with linux,
XP/7 dual boot would be great but I still think windows XP is more stable tho.
On the other hand you could always install linux :D

Its requirement says that it'll work on Win7. I personally haven't tried it. I use Video Studio and I know that works on both XP and win7

It doesn't sound like this really applies here but... in my adventures I've noticed:
1-If I installed Win7 (with XP already installed) from DVD boot I had no OS selection screen and would boot win7.
2-If I installed Win7 first then installed XP after I would have no OS select screen and boot XP automatically.
Only when I had XP running and inserted the Win7 DVD while on my desktop did everything work and 7 installed properly. I'm not sure what went wrong with instance #1 as that should have worked....shruggs.... Instance #2 always breaks the OS select screen cause XPs boot manager is to "old" to boot Win7. I don't know how to fix that so a sequential install order was nessasary for me.

I already had XP installed when I installed win7 on it later (about 2 years later) and it worked fine. You just have to know how to configure the bootloader for win7 - read this page: How to dual boot Windows XP and Windows 7 (XP installed first)

It may be from the stone age but its still the best operating system made by windows in my opinion, thats why tons of people still use it by choice.

Indeed.
Windows XP was a good soldier.
Vista isn't that bad, but it is much more unstable.
I still gotta try 7. I got a chance to peek around, but no real heavy use of it.
Looks fairly similar to vista tho lol

You should try windows 7, its great for gaming but I have do disagree with "Vista isn't that bad, but it is much more unstable." Vista is like using windows 95 with better graphics >_<

I like windows 95 more than vista...I still have win95 on a laptop and 98 on another one. And I have one with Vista...
