I thought this was amazing.... and a GREAT idea....
On Saturday, October 16, 2010, a team of IGN editors will stay awake for 24 hours and play videogames for charity. It's like a marathon, but nobody's nipples chafe if they do it right.
How does this work? Well, hopefully, you pick your favorite editor from the ever-expanding list below and offer up some money to support their participation. A dollar, $20 – it doesn't matter. Your donation is added to the Team IGN.com pot, the editors stay up and play games until their eyes hurt, and then Extra Life and the Children's Miracle Network gives the money IGN has earned to the Children's Hospital and Research Center, Oakland.
After you donate – or even if you can't donate – don't be shy about joining us in our quest to rock Extra Life's socks. You can register and join team "IGN.com" in a few easy clicks. From there, start earning donations for our team and buy some Jolt Cola for Saturday, October 16th.
The experience doesn't end after you leave this page, though – we'll probably be Ustreaming the event from our office, there will podcasts, and Team IGN.com will be playing online that Saturday so that you can come pwn fools with the editors you know so well.
We're staying up to play some games no matter what, but your help is the real difference maker in Extra Life. If you can, please give us a hand
I'm not spamming.....I promise.... this just seems like a really awesome idea... so here's the link if you guys wanna donate...

We should do something like this.... with fellas like subb and jak who stay awake for like 4 days straight it'd be epic win!!!!! lol
