Gamers Forum Turns 4 years Old

This week, Gamers Forum officially turns 4 years old. Started back in August 2006, we have come very far. Congratulations to the forum and I thank all of you for your help and support with the forum! Couldn't be here without you guys.

I think I already told you that several times. But anyway...before it became Gamers Forum, it was a forum for my Counter-Strike clan. It was a private forum and when I started seeing every member of the clan drift off leaving me to do all the technical work, I was going to shut off the website and start a new one for general gaming. But instead of shutting it down, I just converted it into gamers forum. It was easier to do because it was already established (technically) and by the end of the CS Clan phase of the forum, we had 3-4 non-clan members that were a part of the forum and active in discussions. I didn't want to just reset everything.

That's just the short version of it. Or long...I haven't really thought of another way to tell the story yet.

Yeah.... I stopped myself the other day from introducing myself as Damage. I still have yet to slip up... although, while we were in NY... Bob always called me Damage...I got some kinda funny looks, but ironically enough I think my parents are used to it.... =)

I, fortunately, have not had the affliction of having to go by (or accidentally going by) Dili irl... except from Bob, here and there, of course :P I'm impressed that this thread has stayed alive long enough that it's almost even my birthday (http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=147217455300091&index=1) (the 30th) now! It didn't occur to me until now how close my birthday is to the forum's.

I actually have some friends who called me Muffin before I started to use the name Muffincat anywhere, so I guess, really, it would be okay for me to introduce myself as Muffin :P But man I would never do that in real life, like some of you guys have/have been tempted to. It's never popped into my mind XD I don't think I have solidified the name Muffin in my mind well enough. I do almost call dili by "dili" in real life sometimes, though. XD
