GTA: Do you sometimes drive like a normal person?

Alright I looveee driving fast and drifting around corners and just crashing for fun (IN GTA!!!), but sometimes ... I do feel the need to just obey the rules, stop at a traffic light, park the car correctly and just BE NORMAL!!!

Am I the only one on this forum or are there more of us out there?!

I actually try to drive normally, cuz I like keeping my cars intact. Mostly cuz I only hop into really nice cars. Unless i'm in like a bus or something, in which case i smash everything in my path.

I can only drive normally when Im drunk. I keep trying to hit people or go off road and I cant.

okay,
I tend to use up a lot of the handbrake. I try to make a lot of drift turns & I dont know, practice makes perfect I guess. I do park the car & prepare it before a mission starts, sometimes my car doesn't even show up! maan. . .
and I'm trying really hard not to kill as many people when I'm driving. only in hit-man missions though. so far, I've only killed 11 people -- when driving & the missions required to kill.

I drive normally sometimes... rarely.... but sometimes. In Mafia 2, I've been driving normally unless I'm running from the cops.

hahaha yeah and then when you stop at the traffic light they say stuff like "Is there something I can't see? or why are we stopping"

Yeah Red Dead sometimes i just walk with my horse and enjoy the landscape :)

I used to drive normal in the game "Driver", trying to avoid the cops, but those where easy to set off, if you even taped your emergency break they went after you, so it was more of a challenge. =P

i barely obey the rules of the road in real life, like no turn on red screw that im turning, speeding all the time, passing in a no passing zone(if ur driving slow enuff hell yeah im gunna pass u), stuff like that so what would make u think id obey the rules of the road in a game.lol

i drive Normally now because of a mod thats like Mafia. that if you ran to Red Lights. lol. and sometimes i just drive and drive normally. not like a maniac.

and if i got a nice cool car. i dont want it to be a total wreck

I try to drive "safely" in multiplayer mode, while in races. In other cases: PURE DESTRUCTION! That and plus: I suck at driving... ='(

Driving normally can be fun, if you have a roleplay aspect to it and enjoy it. I do sometimes, like some people here.

Yes i do drive normal sometimes i like to drive fast but it depends if im running from the cops im driving fast if im doing a mission i drive fast if im just driving around im sometimes normal really depends on the mood im in lol. In Red Dead Redemption i always drive the horse max speed.

cause it's not an actual car simulator.

In GTA, it's really tough to move your car normally and steadily as the road.

Driving wide and knocking people and cars is really awesome and especially knocking the cops to kill them so that I can get more ammunition in the game.:D

This is a bit off-topic, but I couldn't resist.

If you like GTA you'll love Mafia II.

If you haven't yet played Mafia II, it is a more cinema-based game, but with the same free-roaming capabilities at GTA. Although it's based in the mid 1900's, the old-style world is made up for with a lot of great features such as the SPEED LIMITER. Press A when driving (Xbox360) and the car automatically drives the speed limit.

You may argue that automatically setting the speed is lame and prevents from any driving skill being used, but next time on GTA you wanna cruise and check out the scenery at the same time, enjoy pressing and releasing the pedal over and over again lol

For me they stopped and honk a bit but then they get angry and try to get past me>:( (often with the result that im hunting them down and destroy their car:p

Same :P I just get tired of it though as there aren't really any suitable controls for driving normally, I mean there are no indicators on your car and every time you hit break, the car automatically reverses when it comes to a halt, then you bump into the car behind you - cue rage driving.

Hold the handbreak and soflty push the breaks, that lights up you're break lights and keeps them on :P

I never even got to finish that game! I got half way through and then got hooked to GTA Races online haha! xD Constantly on the figure of 8 track on Bikes with friends!

Meh, I just keep crashing into cars and randomly punch people to death that are on the sidewalk whenever I have to get out of the car before it blows up. XD So much actually that I didn't really get too far in the game. >_< Nothing to do with my personality, it's just fun. Besides, I hardly ever know where to go to progress anyway. lol

In early GTAs? Hell no, the look from above stuff was just too hard to control to even try to be a law abiding citizen.

After GTA III though, I've always tried to drive normally as often as possible.

I still think that they need to make a GTA where driving like an absolute 6 star maniac would get you in serious trouble. Getting caught should also be alittle harder to evade. It's just too easy to drive around and the cops not having a chance at catching you unless your car breaks, which can take HOURS if you're good.

So I think they need to make one where legal driving(when its possible)is more universally recommended, just to get the realism factor up just alittle more(I bet you that I couldn't drive through New York GTA style for an hour and a half before the cops realize it)

Rampaging is awesome, I try to survive on 6 stars without cheats for as long as I can. I think I lasted 2 hours one time. It was pretty sick :laugh1:

lol, I did the same only on foot, I was covered in a alley with lots of weapons and just shot everyone that came close. Not long after the cops came with helicopters and swat teams. I got up to 5 stars before I ran out of ammo and tried to escape with a car(I didnt even get to the car before a big mutha****er jeep ran over me and all these guys with shotguns started shooting. LOL they continued after I was dead to(didnt know cops did that).

Hahaa, I hate it when people run over me in GTA, it always makes me get wasted. Cops will just take advantage of me whilst im on the ground.
