I was in Saudi Arabia :P about 3rd or 4th grade. It was already like 4pm where I was and I remember my mom watching the news and there I saw and I remember the 2nd plane crashing in. Our school (American Intl. School Jeddah) was closed for a loong time and a lot of my American friends left the country since the US attacked Iraq not too long after it.

I didn't really understand what had happened so I didn't really worry about that back then.

RIP :(

I was in my first job as a manager, and remember having a really heavy meeting. Afterwards I went outside for a cigarette and someone told me about it .. I remember thinking it was a joke that I was being too dim to understand.

I remember in high school every year they did a remembrance and we had one.. middle eastern kid, and i heard stories he had his turban stolen from him had it pissed on, pooped on and set on fire.

He took it like a pro and it never bothered him

Think I was in the 8th grade when the news came. They let us out of school early. I came home, looked out the window, and the two towers were no longer there, instead there was a big pile of smoke coming out of the ground going into the sky.

Terrible day. I know people who lost family in the event and Have spoken to firefighters and police officers who were there.

I wish it didn't happen. Now the only big skyscraper I can see from my window is the Empire State Building (and the very top of the Chrysler Tower).

Don't think we should start that one because I know people have different views. And it wasn't "arabs" who were blamed, it was the Taliban who took responsibility so we shouldn't generalize it like that either.

If anyone is interested in finding out what is commonly believed to why 9/11 happened look up information on when the russians invaded the middle east back in the 80s.

It was my senior year.... I was in the library talking with a Naval Recruiter...but... I remember all of the recruiters phones going nuts, and them making us turn on the news. I started the enlistment process that day.

I remember being in a math class around 7th grade, & the teachers were all mourning, class was suddenly canceled.
and then it happened again when I was in 10th grade, *when the event was over, but to be remembered. --teachers had to cancel class again on that day.
