Samsung SMX F40 Time Lapse Video

I got this camcorder thru a sale on Newegg a few weeks ago. It's what I used for my computer building videos and it is the first camcorder that I bought and own for myself. We have another camcorder at home but it uses the old little cassettes...and the rest of the real world videos were made using my digital camera which isn't as good.

This camcorder has a pretty neat time lapse feature. I know how to do this using a computer but it's so handy. I left the camera staring outside for several hours three times and this is what I got, it saves a lot of time and space because it doesn't use too much of your memory card.

Camera isn't HD and it does what I need it to do. It has a bunch of other features too, I just recently learned to use this one which is helpful. Might make a time lapse one when I'm driving somewhere. This is like a test + review of the product. Only cost me $99. Usually around $170.

Yeah, some time lapse videos are amazing. I've seen so many and now I can make my own without much trouble.

Also, Newegg doesn't have this anymore (probably not in stock yet) but the SAMSUNG SMX-F43 is $249 and the F44 is $299 there - they both come with internal memory whereas the F40 does not.

Strangely it kinda reminded me of when my mate and I stood near a speed camera one drunken night. We were on a road where people always drove too fast, and the camera was well positioned to catch them. So, we stood there laughing for about an hour in the hope that when a speeding car went by, and the camera went off, all they'd get is a picture of me and my mate, drunk, and waving in only our underwear. Good times.

lol yeah .. tbh thoughts like that were absent really - after all we were stood on a speeding hotspot dressed in a sure-fire way to distract motorists, so anything logical or sensible was light-years away ..

oh definitely. It has a near 5 hour battery limit too with bigger resolution than it's cannon and sony counterparts (read reviews for all of them before purchasing).

Too bad they don't sell them anymore on newegg. I know it's just under $200 in bestbuy and friends.
