Thinkin of sellin my Wii

So, I'm thinkin I might wanna sell my wii. I mean, I have all 3 consoles this gen, and I hardly ever play my Wii. I mostly bought it for Monster Hunter 3, and cuz my gamecube broke and I wanted to finish resident evil. But for some reason (this is strange ik) I don't enjoy gamecube games as much on the wii. Plus, for monster hunter I like Freedom for the PSP better, which i just found the charge cable for.

Why I want to sell it
- I have too many consoles and want to sell one. Wii is the easy choice
- I like playing gamecube games better on a gamecube, for some reason
- There aren't many Wii games I really want, and the one I really did want is just a sequel to a game I have on PSP (they play very similarly, just have different environments, monsters, and items. not much plot in those games)
- could use some quick cash
- playstation move seems a lot better, and havin both is extreme overkill

Why I want to keep it
- I may want it again in the future
- There are other games I want to play for it
- wii sports is lots of fun
- to be fair, I haven't really given the console much of a chance.

What do you guys think?

You could also keep it as a collector for the very far future. Like that guy who sold his nintendo 64 for $50,000 a few months ago.

Otherwise if it's just lying there and you could use the extra cash, selling might be the way to go.

I've never sold a console before though..so I never thought about it, not to the depth you have.

Actually, i often thought about selling my 360, but since I 1. downloaded some games to it that would forever be lost if i sold the 360 and more importantly 2. it was a christmas gift I don't really want to sell that. Then I just thought what if i sell my wii?

Seeing as the closest to a video game collector I am is still buying PS1 games and being willing to pay extra for it to be in great condition, the keeping it around and selling it later thing seems out. I could also use a bit of extra cash right now (though it'd just get spent on concerts or something probably)

I don't want to sell it, cuz I like the Wii a lot, but I feel like having all 3 is overkill. I need to get rid of one.

ah. Well if it's a gift, I'd say keep it. It didn't cost you anything initially so yeah.

As for your Wii, I have no solid advice. I currently have none of the current gen consoles. So you should really think about it a little bit more and see which points you made above make most sense for you.

You also said you never really gave it a chance. Maybe give it a chance now and think about selling it again when the Holiday season arrives. More people will be looking to buy consoles then (both new and used) and you'd probably have a better chance of finding a buyer or getting a better deal.

I have all 3. I never thought about selling any of them. then again I rarely sell anything that I buy.

I usually Keep stuff till it breaks or give it away.

My bro had some weird game for Ps2 (costed us 60 bucks) and then he went to sell it and all he got was 5 dollars... We didn't wanted the game anyway! The only reason I still have my Ps2 is cuz they only offer 25 dollars for it!

Anyway, you should keep it. There are lots of greats game you can still get to play! And what's the point of: 'I have lots of consoles and I want to sell one'? Keep them all!!! :twitcy::twitcy::twitcy::twitcy:

The only reason you should sell it if you really need the money. It's one thing if you don't use it that much but it's another if there's potential that a game might be released later that you'll want it for or that it will be worth something to you for those occasional moments that you and some friends jump up to play some wii bowling.

The need for the amount of money you'll get for it should outweigh the potential and existing use you get out of it... are you going to miss some super cool concerts if you don't sell it? :P

Well the thing is, I don't have money to blow on video games, so i've been missing lots of great games since the days of PS1 games. The wii is just the least important system to me (i refuse to sell my ps3 ever, and my 360 was a gift) So the fact that i'm missing great games isn't really a point IMO, and most of the wii games out I wanna play I can play elsewhere (new mario bros is on the DS, res evil games are on the gamecube, there are other monster hunter games on psp) The only thing I can't do with the other systems is play games like Ghost Squad, Dead Space Extraction and Resident Evil Umbrella. I can play smash bros and mario galaxy at either my neighbor's or my friends house, they both have Wii's

And i know this sounds weird to you, but i work like this. But having all 3 systems isn't as exciting as having just one or 2. Less is more, I guess.

I'm probably going to sell it, and down the road pick up Playstation move. I heard it's more accurate than the Wii anyways.

I just don't know how much to sell it for, and if I should sell everything individually or together? I have the Wii, controller + nunchuck, wii sports, Okami, Monster Hunter 3, a component cable, and a classic controller +

Well, in my consoles rate Wii is last (at least last from the ones I more care about). But now I really think you should sell it.

Sorry guys , I read this a while back . I just kept thinking to myself about it . Ok I have a n64 it is used so I am sure it is not worth much . My Friend has one in a box brand new . It was a Christmas gift for his sister , he never gave her . Now can someone please send me a link to a article on this story . I just can not stop thinking that this is complete bull . I believe linux has heard this somewhere . I just think it is not true . But I would love to be proven wrong . Could somebody send me some links .

I sold mine alltogether and got just under the price I paid for it yeah plantation move looks awesome and kinect for the xbox loos amazingly awesome :D
