Indeed. Those numbers are FAR higher than it was for Halo 3, and on top of that, it took H3 a couple months (maybe a year or more) to get 1 million people on at the same time. Reach shattered that opening night.

Also,
-Ultimately, Halo: Reach’s online population for the first week dwarfed Halo 3’s by comparison, snagging four times the number of total unique users and decimating Halo 3’s all time high of concurrent users by more than 65%.

I would +rep you for this, but can't http://www.gamers-forum.com/imagehosting/241234cead9f2f0b65.gif

Really cool stats... I'm wondering what they mean by "5901 years of online Reach games," though, because that would translate to 51,692,760 hours of gameplay. Even if you consider that about 3.3 million copies of halo were sold within the first two weeks of launch... if we assumed that every single one of those 3.3 million was a preorder and they all got it at midnight on launch (which we know is NOT the case,) each of those owners would have to log about 15.6 hours of ONLINE game time PER DAY for the first week.

Somehow I feel I must be missing what that stat is actually pointing to, because that's just not possible @_@
