I recently got blender and I need it for a project that I'm working on. I'm interested to know if anyone here use blender or have any experience with it. I just got it today and decided to just work on it for the past hour to get the hang of the basics.

For those that don't know what it is, it's a 3D editing animation program sorta thing. I'm only beginning to see it's potential but I have a long way to go.

Glad to hear IRC is so terrible lol.

But don't worry about me. I'm a quick learner. I won't need much of it for my projects anyway. But thank you.

IRC is not to bad , it just seems everybody is always IDLE . It gets sorta old real quick . But on the subject of blender . There are a lot of import programs . I mean I made this human above like I said using Make Human it took me about 20 minutes . Not to bad , but then again this is a old picture . So I have since made the human more detailed . Just keep a look out for some good import programs .

It must had been a different software . Although this is kinda complicated to use . It is free , no trial on blender . If you are not using it often then you kinda forget some of the basics . But yes I could see giving up . It is kinda annoying learning to use a new program . 3D design none the less .

Yeah it is kinda a trial and error thing. Here is my first attempt at hair . I failed so I colored the fail purple and now it looks like crystals . But it was suppose to be hair . http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h316/nojo200/shirt3-1.png

could it be used for CAD stuff? I've worked with AutoCad programs before.. they're pretty cool.... when you know how to make objects. like donuts. haha.

Yes it can. I've never tried any AutoCad programs for 3D stuff before. Well actually, I tried out a program called Maya years ago but never got anywhere with it. It was really expensive and I was a kid and tried it for the 30 day trial and that's it...
