The Children's Miracle Network has partnered with an organization called Sarcastic Gamer to create a benefit called "Sarcastic Gamer's Extra Life," which has raised more than $302,000 for children's hospitals since it's creation.
Extra Life 2010 will take place on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 as gamers from all corners of the globe come together for a 24-hour video game marathon raising money to help heal kids. I will be participating in the marathon and I've come by in hopes that you'll support me by giving just $1.00 per hour ($24 total). My goal is to raise $120.00, but I would really love to bump that number up if I can get help from caring people who want to help me.
Your donation is tax-deductible and 100% of your gift goes to help heal sick kids all over the country. Donations made on will be going directly to The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
If you cannot donate $24, any donation amount is greatly appreciated, even if it's just $1! The more money we can raise for these children the better. Donations can be made by credit (or debit) card, Paypal, or check.
In case you were wondering, I'll be spending my 24 hours, from 8am-8am playing World of Warcraft on PC and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360!
If you have any questions check out the for your own 24 hour marathon!!! if you would like to donate to this wonderful cause. Also, please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested in either donating or running a marathon.
Thank you for your time, support, and participation.
Note to mods/admins. If you have to move this feel free, I just figured Gem Gaming would be an appropriate place for it.
