The first one.
But I think the major killer here is that each one is waaaay over-blurred.
Blur has a good effect when describing depth. But when you blur the main picture, it looks out of focus and ruins the signature.
If you blurred the heads in the background and left the main one alone, it would have been a lot better.

I, on the other hand, prefer the first one, but still too blury. The black and white without text is cool too, but because of the blur its get's kind of hard to see what's going on.

Yeah, every time I see John Terry I always wonder how he's got the lothario reputation he's got - he's a bit like a munster crossed with a greyhound. However, I'm impressed with Hama's muted response to Chelsea even being featured here .. funny in fact.

Anyways, back on topic .. I'd try a blue tint and a sharpening first, then it might work with the render a little more maybe (below is just an example) ..
