German Skinheads... why!

A portuguese worker (my country!) was on Germany, in a very important business meeting/trip. Anyway, there was a recent game of Germany X Croace and everyone in German, including this worker, was at a very big and known cafe, watching the game. Germany lost, and then this happened:

The portuguese worker left the cafe, not making fun of, or laughing, he left in quiet. About 4 teenager skinheads, got him and punched and kicked him, almost till death.
His portuguese wife and witnesses took him to a hospital, where he stayed 1 month. Then, this intelligent business man, was with brain damage and shocked, so he didn't left the house, he didn't made sence when talking, and finally, he died in his own bed, trying to rest.

Now get this:
-All for a lost game
-Stupid teenagers only got 3~4 years in jail
-They smiled and laughed in court
-His wife was sick, and had a recent surgery which costed about 20,000$. How is she going to pay now, sick, without a job?
-In 4 years (tops) they will be out there again. If they did it for a simple lost game, what is going to happen next?
-Bad reputation for Germany! It's a very good country, why ruin it about this? Idiots...

And I really don't know what to say about this... I'm very angry right now!

Aye I'm not surprised you're angry mate, this kind've obnoxious violence is frankly disgusting .. especially as he lost his life over it. And over something so petty as losing a game (this is one reason why I detest sport's culture .. in particular football) .. pathetic in the extreme. Tbh it's irrelevant that it was a bunch of 'German' skinheads - that stuff can (and does) happen everywhere, regardless of nationality or other cultural or social considerations, and often over a lot less. I have the distinct feeling that their prison term won't just be limited to serving the length of their sentence though .. as Europeans we know that this stuff tends to come back around at a later date in some way or another - countries are too close together in Europe to really 'escape'. Karma's a ***** ..

Germany is a fantastic country and culture, but like any mind-blowingly stupid act it will reflect badly on them and their people, especially for countries nearby - sad but true. Unfortunately this isn't something that should be put at the country's doorstep really.

At the end of the day some people do ridiculous things in what they think are justified circumstances (and sometimes because they're just idiots) .. there's nothing that can be done to prevent them either sadly. But as I said already, justice has a way of turning up unannounced, and if they don't experience it in prison (at night or in the showers) then I hope that when that day comes they still find it so funny.

That's ridiculous. I heard a story where a bunch of skinheads linked arms at a concert and crushed the entire crowd into the stage, a bunch of people got injured and some died. It's like, why do people do such things?

I heard this news in my country. They probably only showed this on Germany and my country.

As for the game, I don't know, but since he was 1 month in the hospital, I think about 1,5 month max? All I know it was Germany X Croace.

Aye, it's funny how certain countries have issues when playing against each-other .. I seem to remember a similar issue a few years ago involving Croatia. But anyway, all of that is a bit of a red herring .. some people are just idiots wherever they come from hehe.
