Good question .. pass ..
I tend to get 2-4 hours sleep most nights so it's not that unusual .. but it does bug me I can't sleep for longer.

I'm probably too late :P but try it for next time
As Ixel already said, go on like youtube type ocean sounds or anything relaxing (a river, fireplace, rain,...) then just sit and close your eyes, you will eventually get tired! =o

I read my intro to communication book. as boring as it is, for some reason it wakes me up. every time i've read that book i was awake for like 3 hours after
and the computer isn't in the same room that I sleep in at my grandmas. so can't do the rain thing.

I dunno why people always bash on sleeping pills; I mean... they are completely necessary sometimes, and there are plenty of them that aren't habit-forming and whatnot. I've used them in the past when absolutely nothing else worked. Ideally, of course, it's best to fall asleep yourself, but if you start to develop chronic insomnia or something, then they are a life-saver.
I would rather take pills than be unable to sleep for nights on end, which is what happened to me. The "methods" that people often give don't work for certain things.
Anyway, not saying this is what eps has, and I'm sorry you're having trouble sleeping :( It happens to me every once in a while, and it sucks.

There are pros and cons with sleeping pills. And everyone know that and nor the you. And of course there is way more cons/badness with sleeping pills than pros/goodness. So for me, I'm highly not suggesting it. :P

going for a run is a good idea... too bad the weather didn't permit. I had a friend who was an insomniac in elementary/middle school and picked up a couple interesting ideas:
(1) do some form of physical exercise until it tires you out... roll out of bed and blitz pushups until you can't hold yourself up and then crawl back in.
(2) don't check the time. Whatever you do, don't keep checking the time (it engages your mind in a way that keeps you awake, or something.)
that's all I got. Hope your exam went okay!

The only problems come from long term use. And addictive sleeping pills are becoming more and more rare, as there are many different kinds, and as the site said, they're all different.
As for the ones with acetaminophen, that's not the sleeping pill, that's the acetaminophen in it. Which is actually.. tylenol! O:
I've talked to lots of people who've taken sleeping pills and the only complaints I've heard are "I get weird ass dreams yo" (not really a complaint?) and "I feel groggy the next morning and that sucks". So.. not that bad lmfao
So basically.. as long as you consult your doctor and do it the safe way.. you'll be fine lmfao
Sleeping pills are not these scary monsters that will make you a drug addict who will eventually be found convulsing in their own vomit on the floor.
Tylenol is worse for you than sleeping pills, really.
For my chronic headaches/migraines I've taken a lot of tylenol/advil, and grown immune to it. So now whenever I have a headache I have to take a large dose of anti-inflammatory drug. My liver will probably be gone by 30-40 B|
So I'd say the big drug baddie would be your common advil/tylenol/acetaminophen. Not sleeping pills.

Basically what Lemon said.. sleeping pills only cause problems if you over-use them and aren't careful.

You could try ibuprofin or naproxen (that works real well for me) I used to get really bad chronic headaches when I was younger so.. tylenol is useless. Or you could try a smaller dose of say half of an anti-inflamatory and half pain-killer (of the same or similar strength, obviously) to take care of the cause and the pain while the anti-inf. is working it way into your system.

Yus. <3 Exactly what I wanted to say, worded beautifully <3 I LOVE YOU LEMON
I have experience with sleeping pills as there was a period in my life where I couldn't sleep for nights in a row due to circumstances beyond my own control, and had to take sleeping pills. I did get the groggy feeling and had to cut my pills in half because apparently I was really susceptible to them, but yeah. Other than that, I was just glad to be able to sleep again.
Basically, I wouldn't recommend sleeping pills to just anyone, because sometimes they aren't necessary and I wouldn't advise taking them if you aren't in serious trouble. There can be a great many issues causing a lack of sleep that you can solve on your own and that is, of course, the most ideal situation.
However, there are people with different issues, and people with severe insomnia - and sleep is soooooooooo important <3

Using naproxen loll. It works, its just .. its still harsh on your system and not good if you take it a lot. Which.. I've been getting a lot of headaches lately, so yay hawhaw
