Nolan has come out with 3 facts related to the new new batman movie

1) The title will be "The dark knight rises"
2) the movie will not be in 3d but he will be using Imax camera systems
3) The riddler will not be the villian in the film.


I can wait for the movie but I just wanna know who is playing what.

Hopefully Penguin is the villain. He was put as an outlaw at the end of TDK, so I could just see the penguin coming into play here easily.

I'm glad it's not in 3D...last 3D movie I watched was Resident Evil and even though it had some good 3D stuff...I felt that most of it wasn't even necessary...they took away from the action and focused most of their energy on the 3D aspect of it.

I really liked the Dark Knight...hopefully this one is good. My favorite villain is The Joker and they already had him this time around. Riddler would have been nice. Penguin is ok I guess...not my favorite but I don't hate him.

I don't remember if Two-Face died at the end of the last movie...but if not...it'd be nice to have him back - work up on the hate.

The name makes sense, in a way lemons. Think about it, at the end of TDK he took on the role as the dark knight because really before that ending he was still a good guy. So really now since he is the bad guy, we get to see him in his true role as a defender and outlaw.

The storyline is the reason its called the dark knight, Bale had to go darker than what we say in the first one in order to do his best to save gotham from the joker, plus the ending where he becomes the bad guy etc etc

it fits the title, but really? Alien and Aliens were so similar because in Alien there was one alien. In Aliens, there were multiple aliens. it made sense. But why just take the last movie's title and throw a new word at the end? Imo thats dumb.

I mean, considering that it's all we know about it so far, other than there won't be a riddler, we don't have much else to discuss. Once some plot related stuff gets revealed, i'm sure discussion will shift

did you not read any of my post? Okay, there's no riddler. I mentioned penguin, someone mentioned two face. Not much else to discuss there imo, but a bunch of us don't like the title. It's related to the movie, and theres not much potential for alternative discussion.

I'll have to agree with Lemons on Penguin.. wouldn't really make an interesting villain. I think Bane would be completely reasonable/doable. Just look at how well they did Scarecrow.

Robin will never be in this series of batman movies. They're pretty set on that lol. I think they're supposed to be before Robin, his journey as batman, etc.

I think his long title was somewhat of a joke. But Christian Bale said he wouldn't sign onto another movie if Robin were to be involved. So Nolan basically promised that he wouldn't introduce Robin into his series.

I just want bale to get over his throat cancer lol . I am going to be really upset if rumors are true and they cast bale for Solid snake in the movie . and then he goes into batman mode when he talks .... thats what almost ruined the new terminator .
