Years ago, I used to post traffic stats for the forum on a monthly basis, so I thought I'd bring it back by posting some random and fun stats that you may not know about. Once again, they are visitor stats, not actual forum post/activity stats.

Total pageviews: 1,613,207 (highest for our forum as far I as remember)
Hits: 3,032,486 (counts pageviews, and other random stuff I still don't understand fully)

Most active day of October for visits/pageviews was October 17th.

Most active day of the week was Fridays followed by Wednesday.
Least Active day of the weak was Sundays followed by Tuesdays.
Most active hour of the day was 1200 (Noon) EST.
Least Active hour of the day was 2100 (9PM) EST.

Most visited Countries:

1. USA
2. Russian Federation
3. Netherlands
4. Czech Republic
5. Great Britain

Canada was number 12. Expected them to be top 5.

Most visited robot was the Yahoo Slurp Bot followed by Google and MSN bots.

Operating Systems:

89% of visitors used Windows
3.9% Were unknown...
3.6% Macintosh
3% Linux
0.2% Unix.

Browsers:

44.1% Used Internet Explorer
35% used Firefox
6.9% used Opera
6.3% used Google Chrome
2.9% used Safari
2.2% used Netscape...

There are others, but not worth mentioning as they are mostly cell phone browsers.

I generally like stats...interesting to see how things progress as well as some stats that surprise you like Canada not even making it to the top 10 countries. Canada was number 9 same time last year.

Aye some interesting stats, some open to a lot of interpretation. I'm still surprised to see IE so high, and Holland for that matter hehe.

Bot stats are counted separately in the stats system I use for the server, I didn't include those. They would add about another million hits.

Unix came out before most of the Current OS you see out there including Windows and Linux.

And LUnix is Little Unix - so yeah, they are related but I'm not sure of the similarities/differences - I have VERY little experience with Unix although I hear it's very good. Never had the time to learn - as you can imagine, it's a bit harder to manage than Windows since it's pretty old.

Yeah, just to clarify this a little further Unix is Linux's uglier older brother who he keeps locked in a basement. This is the only known video of him ..
