Grave robbers have hit the burial site where Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was laid to rest back in May -- taking two cherished statues -- but now the rest of the band is on a mission to get the stuff back.

The band posted a message on their website saying, "There were statues of a gargoyle as well as a Buddah that were placed at Paul’s grave by his friends and family that were taken."

The band is now asking for help from their fans -- saying, "We ask that whoever did this please return the items no questions asked. If anyone has any information about the stolen items please let us know."

Kinda sad that pathetic execuses for human beings would steal from the dead. I cant wait till they find them, if they find them, and the hard core fans go after them.

since they are from the late Paul Gray they would bring in a nice amount of cash so Im pretty sure they have been sold already.

I can't think of anyone who'll do such thing... Rob someone's grave... I won't even be courageous enough to get in the cemetery and start digging, so... creepy!

Kind of makes you feel misanthropic, knowing that other humans value even the dead so low that they wont hesitate to dig you up and rob you blind.
