That's terrible. Why the hell would amazon even allow it? They're just after their stupid commission.


I am a federal agent who works child exploitation cases almost exclusively. I am extremely disappointed in Amazon's choice to sell this product which, as far as I can tell, will only encourage and affirm other people that abuse children. I have seen first hand the harm that people like the author of the book, and potential readers, do to children and to see a book like this on Amazon's 'shelves', so to speak, is very troubling to me.

Hiding behind the First Amendment is a poor excuse, as the First Amendment only applies to the restriction of free speech by the government, not of private businesses like Amazon. Amazon could very easily refuse to sell this product by its own policies or principles; the First Amendment has nothing to do with anything in this case.

That's one of the many negative reviews. Shame on Amazon.

But it's not taken down. I think people were just having issues with the site itself.

When I last checked, it had 1900 something reviews, now it's at 2400+....most of them negative. 54 of them are 5 star reviews and only a few of those 54 actually gave a positive feedback....

It's kinda like those guides to making bombs and other things that are almost definitely going to be put to use. You can't say 'oh I'm just reading about how to get away with being a paedophile 'cause it's interesting'. A book about the way the mind of a paedophile works, yes. A book about how to prevent paedophilia, of course. But a book on how to commit it. Not a story, not fiction, an actual guide. That is unjustifiable.
The thing that bothers me most is that according to the title this isn't the first edition.

I saw this on the news yesterday. But illegal or not, the person created the product and sold it through amazon. Amazon's policy is to not censor what's being sold.

They're probably rethinking that now though
